I used to have a different insurance (BlueShield) and I have seen the $540 price on my claim before. Weirdly, I was never charged for this through my doctor; doctor’s office says I am paid off. Insurance site says insurance covered a part of it (about $140) and I am responsible for the rest.
I now have a new job and recently started insurance with UMR. For a primary physician office visit, it says “You pay your deductible then 30% of remaining charges”; does this mean my next visit is going to cost me $540 (assuming it is of moderate complexity)!?
