[California] So I went on the UMR site and went to the health cost estimator. The average cost for my usual doctor for an office visit with moderate complexity is $540. If I have to pay deductible first, does that mean it will cost me $540 when I get this service?

I used to have a different insurance (BlueShield) and I have seen the $540 price on my claim before. Weirdly, I was never charged for this through my doctor; doctor’s office says I am paid off. Insurance site says insurance covered a part of it (about $140) and I am responsible for the rest.

I now have a new job and recently started insurance with UMR. For a primary physician office visit, it says “You pay your deductible then 30% of remaining charges”; does this mean my next visit is going to cost me $540 (assuming it is of moderate complexity)!?
