Can I continue to insure my 23 year old working son?

My 23 year old child is working full time and has the ability to subscribe to his employer’s health plan, but he’s still under my insurance plan (cost savings for him), as is his younger college student sibling. Both live at home. His father will soon (court willing) be putting the college student under his insurance plan. My questions is, can the dad add the 23 year old? I guess I’m getting hung up on the term “dependent child”.
