I did my annual exam last December. I had two insurance at the time, my work insurance and medicaid. I ended up canceling my work insurance for the new year, so when I visited the office in December, I submitted my medicaid information. A couple months ago, I got a bill from the office saying my claim was rejected by medicaid because they weren’t my primary insurance at the time. So I submitted the information on my work insurance at the time to them.
Today I just got a bill of the copay and a fine for not having my insurance on file. I had asked the front desk person if I needed to give them my work insurance or medicaid and they said medicaid. Can I dispute this fine?
