I was previously on medicaid, but recently accepted a job that will put me above the cut off. My new job offers limited medical benefits. The most expensive plan, called the super mec (minimally essential coverage) only covers me seeing a doctor 4x a year. I’m a type 1 diabetic, and I’m afraid of how much my insulin will cost me. I’m getting married this weekend, and my soon to be husband has awesome insurance. From what I understand, he can add me to his plan once we’re married. From my previous post, I learned that my insurance would be primary, and his secondary. What does that mean? How does it work? I’m incredibly stupid and know nothing about how insurance works.
