I tried googling this and keep getting mixed answers. Some day the Affordable Care Act will get you a refund but you will get it in the mail. Others say no way you are out luck. I paid for insurance through my job and quit a few months later. Then I paid for military (dependent) insurance for myself for a few months before switching over this year to a different health insurance. I never used either insurance, can I request a refund? Or a partial refund?
I am 24F living in the east coast USA. I am a student with a low income of under $20,000/yr. I qualify for Medicaid(?) but I pay for my insurance out of pocket instead.
