Changing plans after pregnancy

I am due with my first baby in February. We have 2 bcbs options I’m considering, one of which would be a lot cheaper for giving birth, but if we kept it all year the monthly premiums would make it more expensive over all. I’m wondering if its a good choice to use the more expensive plan until I give birth, and then switch to the cheaper monthly premium plan, which covers everything we would normally want covered in a year. To anyone who has done this, is it a huge hassle to switch plans right after having a baby? Would that cause any billing issues?
