I had my original date of surgery moved to a later date because my doctor was told of a found infection I happened to not know about at the time and did not want to put me at risk. I had the surgery moved a month later and had it done then.
But now I’m being charged for both surgery dates including anesthesia medicine for the original date that I was never given and I never even made it into the OR that day. The bill is marked with dates as if I stayed at the hospital from the original surgery date to the new one. Should I take this up first with my surgeons office or contact my health insurance? I have UHC if that’s helpful.
