Child turns 18 a few months before graduating HS….leaves for career full time military 2 weeks after graduating….question regarding Health Insurance

Okay here it’s…..

1) child is a senior and turns 18 about five months before graduating from high school.

2) already enlisted in early entrance program for full time career military and leaves for training 14 days after graduating high school.

3) child is on state Medicaid and has been on it for past 3 years.

We have a yearly Renewel and for 2021 it was renewed again this past September and myself, husband, younger teen child, and My soon to be 18 year old child were all still eligible for 2021.

Questions:

Will my child be kicked off Medicaid (or does he due to Medicaid rules?) when any of the following occurs:

when he turns 18 (while still in senior year)?

when he graduates high school? OR

When he leaves for training or before?

Or will something else occur?

Just want to help my son and I to prepare ahead of time in case he goes for a few months without health insurance or we have to pay for something like BLUE CHIP etc….

Thanks a bunch for the help.

EDIT: we are in Pennsylvania
