COBRA

My wife and I were under my insurance until I left my position in December, ending my coverage Dec 31. My new plan doesn’t kick in until March 14th at new job. My wife was able to elect for insurance under her current employer Jan 1. But, she is currently pregnant due in March and not eligible for FMLA so could lose the insurance come time for baby. Since she was still under my plan at the time of losing benefits can she elect for COBRA with me under my previous employer even with being covered elsewhere as well?
