I recently had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. I got a letter in the mail today from my insurance company with a questionnaire from Conduent regarding why I needed the surgery. They’re asking things like why did I seek medical treatment, was this from a car accident, where did the injury happen, who paid, etc…
Since carpal tunnel syndrome isn’t something that just happens all of a sudden, I’m not sure how to answer these questions. Do you guys have any suggestions?
Also, I’ve had a couple surgerys before this and never received any kind of questions about why I had them – is Cigna thinking I may have committed fraud or something?
Thank you!
