I live in TX and my COBRA is due to expire 9/30/2021. I’m researching options and wondering if I missed any. I’m hoping to get ACA coverage and not any of the short term plans. I’m on a family plan with my wife and 2 children under 10.
I scoured the market place and there is one regional carrier that appears to have all of my doctors but I’m skeptical because it doesn’t have national coverage and sometimes I travel. http://www.communityhealthchoice.org for those interested.
I am a single employee business owner. I have an S-CORP and have wage statements for at least the past 15 months but as I understand it I need 2+ employees for group coverage.
Current carrier is Aetna and I was looking into possibly converting it into an individual conversion. I’m not sure if that’s available but that would be ideal.
Are there any other options I’m missing. Any trade groups I could join for the pure benefit of insurance?
