Hello, I lost my job to the coronavirus which has left me questions with my health insurance. I was on Covered California up until October, I called one day because my rates were going up and down. The lady on the phone (from Covered California)told me I qualified for medi cal and that I would be able to keep my doctor. I recently received a packet from medi cal and unfortunately, my doctor isn’t one of the options. Today, I tried to pick a healthcare plan through Covered California and it won’t let me. After reading, it seems(if I’m correct) I can’t pick a plan because im making under $17,609 and if were to pick a plan I would have to pay full market price with no premium. I’m wondering is there any way I can get back on a healthcare plan through Covered California with my old premium… only reason I would rather have a plan through them is because my mom passed away and the doctor I’ve been seeing has been a blessing.
