Covered under wife’s employer, but just got a new job with great coverage. Can I switch?

Hey all. First time poster and Google hasn’t been much help.

I’m currently enrolled under the health insurance offered by my wife’s employer, and we are paying an extra ~$90 per month on top of the premiums due to me being eligible for health insurance through my work (due to my work’s plans high premiums, it made more financial sense for us to do this)

Anyways, I recently took a new job that offers great coverage and very low premiums.

I’m wondering if there is a way for me to be dropped from my wife’s plan and enroll in my new employers plan outside of the typical open enrollment period.

I might be missing some important details and I’m happy to provide/elaborate.

Thanks
