Deadline tonight to pick a plan for my husband on the exchange. (I know, I know.) Two blue cross plans one with almost half the cost but no “national network.” But ER visits are usually covered anywhere right?

So…just like the title says. I understand there are no out of state doctors I can go visit on the no national network plan, but I have read that if there was an emergency–which is why you would usually be seeing doctors out of state out of state–that is covered. Is this correct?

We are DROWNING with the current price of almost 700 a month for a bronze blue cross EPO plan for him. So, the idea of getting the plan as an HMO with no national network at half the price vs the current EPO plan we are paying for seems like a dream.

What are your thoughts?
