Deductible reset?

Hello, just a quick question…I’ve had some medical procedures for pain relief in my back that that has cost me 6K to get the left side done. This is the amount of my deductible so I have reached it. Anything above this and my insurance will pay 70%. I still need my right side done for the same amount. If my deductible resets at the beginning of the year and if I don’t have my next procedure done before then, I suspect that I will have to pay the full amount again? Do deductibles reset each year or is it a rolling year which would make more sense?
