Denied all PPI’s for my premature infant

Hello. Can someone help me navigate arguing with my insurance about coverage? So we had our second child June 6th at 34 weeks due to severe pre-eclampsia and borderline HELLP. She spent two weeks in nicu with feeding tubes and TPN. We have been home for a while now and she has horrible reflux due to her prematurity and use of feeding tube in NICU. The doctor has been trying to get her some reflux meds (Prevacid and it’s compatible meds) but insurance sent back a notice to my doctor saying they denied all PPI’s. This is an absolutely necessary medication for her. She’s not sleeping due to reflux pain and is super uncomfortable. It’s hard to watch her deal with this. My doctor said they didn’t know what else to do and that we need to call our insurance and ask what’s going on. I don’t know how to navigate arguing this medication class as necessary. The cost of one month for the meds they want (Prevacid) is 600 dollars for 30 doses. We cannot afford that after our 500,000 dollar nicu and post partum stay. Please help.
