I’ve recently been getting some dental work done after not having insurance for awhile, so I’ve needed extensive cleaning and work. I noticed immediately after my first appointment with my new dentist that they charged me more than I should’ve been charged – and it happened each time after. Not a whole lot, but I’ve probably spent about $100 over what I should’ve spent over four claims. My first visit/cleaning should’ve been completely covered but they charged me $77 then said it was “due to my deductible”…but my deductible is listed on the bill for the NEXT appointment.
I brought it up to the front desk lady who deals with billing, and she said I’d been charged using a wrong fee schedule and that she’d take care of it – but I noticed that it happened again on my last filling and when I should’ve paid $10.90 according to Delta’s claim – I paid $28 instead.
How do I approach this nicely? I don’t want to make enemies or be a Karen but I was assured this problem would be fixed and it wasn’t. Considering switching offices and reporting to Delta but I’m not sure.
