Had surgery January 26th for a broken ankle (ORIF). 2 days ago I pay a $2600 bill that came from the surgery center. However yesterday I got a random bill from the actual doctor’s office/network for $1900. There’s no explanation. Even when I called the billing department they didn’t know what it was for. I requested them to send me an itemized bill. It is normal to be billed by the surgery center and the doctor’s office separately? I hate having these hidden bills thrown at me.
