Hi All,
I’m looking to purchase health insurance during open enrollment and I’m trying to figure out my potential costs. Aside from some emergency, the only expected doctor visits I have are to see my psychiatrist each month and to fill the two ADHD prescriptions I get prescribed.
How does this work? What kind of plan would be best for me? The more I look into the fine details of these plans the more confused I am. Would my shrink visits and prescriptions count against my deductible until I max that (then co-insurance until out of pocket max), or would these monthly visits be covered as preventative care and thus only require a co-pay?
It’s been pretty stressful trying to understand this while also looking for work and not having my meds, so any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure if it varies by state but I’m in IL.
Thanks!
