I had a pulmonary embolism due a DVT in 2014 and have been taking Xarelto (very expensive) to treat my factor five blood condition since then. I will lose the ability to be on my parent’s insurance in march of next year as i will be turning 26.
I applied for Medi-Cal as i’ve been looking for a job with no luck and the website says im approved and “no actions are needed” but i still feel worried that this won’t be a simple fix. will i really get health insirance in january? will the co-pay for my xarelto be similar to what i’ve been paying previous to this? (like 10 bucks for a 90 day supply thanks to the jannsen savings program)
I know that xarelto is supposed to go generic next year, but i’m not holding out hope for that.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
