EOB vs Bill

I am extremely new at this and appreciate any insight. My EOB said a procedure cost $6k+ but they negotiated and we split costs now so the portion I owe will be $1,700. I called the doctors office and they said they haven’t received the claim yet so I have no bills on file at this time just FYI.

That split amount seems WAY high to me and I cannot pay that amount at this time. Also, the doctors website has a “price transparency” and the procedure I got is listed at $200. Does the EOB always match the bill I will get or will the doctors office pay the remaining after the $200? Can I refute the $1700 charge with my insurance company based on the doctors websites price transparency?

Also, I called my insurance company a couple days before the procedure and they said it would cost $0 but may have been looking at the wrong procedure code. Can I mention this to help my case as their calls are recorded?

Anything I can do here or will I be stuck paying that $1700 when the bill comes through?
