We were visiting my brother for the week in another state and my husband broke his ankle. It was in the evening. He couldn’t weight bear at all and it was very swollen. He went to the ER and they splinted it until he returned home to follow up with his regular doctor. He ended up needing surgery. How can a broken ankle not be sudden or serious?!?!
