It’s open enrollment time. I’m a single lady of transgender experience working full time in Texas, no kids. I am planning on having a major gender affirming surgery (bottom surgery) with Dr Ashley Deleon of the Crane Center here in Austin Texas in 2022. Beyond that, I have my ongoing hormone replacement therapy, I see a therapist and psychiatrist, I seem to get sick right around thanksgiving time every year for some unknown reason…
I’ve looked and apparently the Friday Bronze HSA might be a bit cheaper than my Blue Cross Blue Shield Bronze HMO I am currently enrolled in. Friday is apparently cheaper than BCBS by $2.6k. Keep in mind I will max out my deductible and out of pocket fee with this surgery. I feel like I am in a YA novel love triangle trying to choose between the two plans.
What I want to know is what your experience has been with Friday Health Plans, regardless of your gender. Communication, finding coverage, dealing with disputes, etc.
