I saw something similar posted, but wasn’t sure if the same answers would apply for my situation.
To sum it up, my husband is working in CA and had to go to the ER after being attacked by a stingray. His policy should cover ER visits even if out of state for work. We received a bill from the emergency physicians which is apparently separate from the hospital itself. This is the only bill that wasn’t covered.
Also, the physician did not provide any services. They told my husband they didn’t know how to help him and told him to soak the area in hot water. GEHA is stating that we need to take care of this with the physician’s office, and vice versa.
What can we do? Is there a way to drastically decrease or eliminate this bill?
