Get surgery now or do it at the beginning of next year?

I just met my deductible a few days ago (of course for the first time ever and I meet it less than a month before the end of the year 🙄). Anyway, I’ve had a minor shoulder surgical procedure that I will need to get done at some point. It isn’t emergent but it is something that I should take care of eventually. Now that I’ve met my deductible, it would be around $700 out of pocket total after copays, co-insurance and everything else. If I’m able to get it scheduled before the end of the year, would you recommend doing it? Or should I just do it right at the beginning of next year and then have my deductible taken care of for all of next year?
