Hi, hoping someone can help. I’m in California and have Employer sponsored Health Coverage, my monthly portion taken out of paycheck is $292.00. Back in February I switched from full time to part time position, I average 15 to 20 hours a week.
I’ve asked H.R. dept numerous times when will I no longer qualify for the employer health insurance, since 40% of my income is going towards coverage. I simply want to transition over to ACA Market Place.
She skirts the subject, it seems like an easy question but she will not give me an answer even after two months! Here’s the main question: After reducing work hours (my choice), shouldn’t I at some point become ineligible?
