Health insurance for Septoplasty

I’m just a teenager and I don’t know too much about health insurance and how exactly it is suppose to work, so bear with me. I like to box (drills and light/medium sparring), so obviously there’s going to mistake that made and it resulted in a deviated septum. Looking at my nose from the outside, it is difficult to tell that I actually have a deviated septum, but I know I have one because my right nostril is significantly more difficult to breathe through though not impossible. The issue arises especially during night time when I sleep on my side and if my left nostril is congested, it will feel like I’m breathing through a straw. Yesterday, my mom and I went to a ear, nose, and throat doctor (not the first time going to him) and he told us the only way to permanently fix this issue is to have septoplasty. I said I was fine with it, but he asked me a question about whether or not I snore at night. I thought this was odd, but I answer no because I don’t make pig noises when i sleep. The only noise that I make is from my right nostril, but it is not extremely loud. He told us that insurance may not cover and it may not be serious enough for it to be covered. We left and my mom ain’t taking me back because she’s too lazy so I have no option until I’m 18 other than punching my nose back into place. I literally just want to breathe better so i can sleep better. Is this actually how health insurance work?

**btw, I think I’m covered by Fidelis Care
