It’s that time of the year to renew my health insurance through the marketplace. I just got a new job and I updated the application, not only did the premium cost skyrocket, but the deductible, out-of-pocket-max dud while the co-insurance reduced. I’m not even making that much money but I need the insurance due to underlying medical issues. Can I under report my expected AGI and just face paying back the advanced tax credits when I file my taxes? My biggest concern is the deductible and the out-of-pocket costs; I don’t believe I have to pay that back.
Ugh, healthcare in this country is ridiculously expensive, thus why I feel like it’s so hard for people of poverty and the middleclass to maintain. Help please!!!
