Hi there,
This is my first time dealing with insurance in the US and I would like to ask for advice into which plan to choose based on the options we are given.
My wife and I are young and healthy and don’t foresee any medical event in 2021. Following different forums, it seems that the best option is to get a HDHP that allows us to open an HSA.
We can pick between:
1) Ambetter Balanced Care 25 HSA (2021) Silver HMO 2) Ambetter Essential Care 2 HSA (2021) Bronze HMO 3) IBX Personal Choice EPO Bronze Reserve, Bronze Reserve
To my understanding the idea of these plans is to cover nothing until we get to the OOP Max right? And it would make sense to go this route since we are young and have the OOP money as an emergency fund already.
I am happy to provide more information regarding the plans, I just don’t know what would be helpful.
Have you had experience with any of these plans/providers? Is there something that I am missing?
Thanks in advance for the help, I really appreciate you taking the time to read.
