I am looking at the plans available in Utah on healthcare.gov, and I am having trouble understanding my options.
There is a plan with a $7800 deductible, and $8700 out of pocket maximum. It lists the costs for some sorts of medical care as “In Network: 40% Coinsurance after deductible”.
Let’s say I have this plan, and have a major medical situation. Does this mean that I will pay 100% of my medical expenses until I have paid $7800, and then will pay 40% of the specified sort of expense until I have paid $8700, and then will pay nothing more for covered care?
