Help with Health Insurance

Hi folks,

First time poster. Hope you can help with some advise. I am unfortunately pretty clueless about health insurance. I just don’t get it, but I pay a very high price. Like most anyone, I hope to get some solid advise and knowledge that will see me change into a new, more affordable coverage plan.

Ok here are my details. Hope its not too complicated. I do currently live in California at this time, I have lived in Reno, NV at times over the last decade.

I am a 59 years old and will be 60 next Sept. Single if that has anything to do with it. I am mostly retired but do work a small part time job at a local bike and ski shop in Nevada for fun. I think I earned around $7k last year in 2020.

I pay 900/mo for my coverage through Hometown Health in Nevada. That seems egregiously high cost to me.

Is there something better out there for me that is lower cost and still very good coverage.

Thank you in advance for all your input and knowledge!
