Hi all. My husband started a new job and we are looking for coverage until insurance through his new employer kicks in. However my stepchild has a pre-existing condition. Husband spoke to a rep yesterday and she told us that we can go through the marketplace but they don’t cover pre existing conditions? And won’t kick in right away? (We need immediate coverage) the other option is COBRA which would cost us +$2,000 a month which puts us in a really hard spot financially.
Are there any other options?
