I was recently let go from my job and under the expensive COBRA option right now. I’m looking to find health insurance to try and reduce the costs to me a little. Heathcare.gov is currently not an option as my doctor (which I love) does not work with anything on the marketplace. I’ve visited the big guys websites and it seems they all want you to go through the marketplace. If you’re just looking for a plan with them, they show you a couple levels (if you’re lucky) but don’t show if they will provide coverage with your doctor until you sign up for a plan. I obviously don’t want to sign up if they aren’t going to support my doctor, so I’m unsure what to do! Does anyone have any helpful suggestions on how to navigate the insurance “system”?
