The past year and a half I have been on long term disability and the ltd insurance company just now closed my ltd claim since their doctors no longer deem me disabled. Earlier in the year I received a letter that they are releasing me from my position so I officially have no position with the company unless they offer me a comparable position that is open. I received in the mail the option to enroll in COBRA for vision but as of now both my dental and vision have benefits have been discontinued, however it looks like I will continue paying the same premium out of my pocket (which is reasonable for the coming year and there has been no offer for COBRA for the health insurance. I got approved for Medi-Cal as well but not sure whether to continue with the employer provided one.
