I’m very lost right now….. I had tricare until I was 23 because I was a military dependent and a student. And then I had medicaid for a long time. After I got married I had insurance through my husband but after the divorce I lost it. I’ve been without insurance for 3 years now. I attempted to apply to medicaid in november 2020 and just this week got a letter stating I was denied for having to high income. ( my income is was around 37,000 for the year it was 31,000 net pay) my kids did qualify for medicaid but not me (it’s called chip or healthy montana kids/dphhs) I’ve never applied for any kind of insurance before I looked into the affordable care act and I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do or really where to go all the websites I found seemed strange, like not government kind of websites and i dont wanna apply to some sketchy sites with all my info. I’m on the verge of tears and so lost and confused and have no idea what I’m doing. Can anyone help? I need insurance for myself because I have medical issues I need to take care of soon. For reference I reside in the state on Montana. Any and all help is appreciated…. thank you.
