My son in law has an employee health care plan that has a low maximum payout, something like $50k (daughter’s insurance is great but doesn’t allow adding spouse). So if he has a serious illness they will be devastated financially, forever. How can they buy a supplemental policy that would cover just major expenses? So say a $50k deductible but then everything above that paid?
Healthcare.gov doesnt offer this – they offer catastrophic only coverage for people under 26. They are in their 30s, earn less than 100k.
So who do they call to find such a policy?
