Hey everyone, lets say for example an out of network psychologist costs $300 per meeting. For my insurance, I need to submit a form for reimbursement and wait a couple of weeks for a check. Lets say my insurance covers $150 of it. If the psychologist needs the payment before the session, and I’m also hoping to use my health FSA, how do you handle this correctly?
Can I pay the full $300 with my card, submit a reimbursement for $300 to my FSA and then submit a reimbursement to my insurance and get $150 back? Is that legal? Or do I need to like make my reimbursement $150 FSA $150 insurance?
