Choosing an insurance plan can be quite overwhelming. I’ll be the first to admit that I am not the most knowledgeable on the topic. Please excuse, what may appear to some, my trivial questions. It’s a learning process.Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
23 yo relatively healthy single female in Florida. Haven’t visited the doctor for any serious concern in well over a decade.
Previously on a low deductible plan with a $100.50 premium paid bi-weekly. Company is switching providers and has presented the following options. With the HSA plan, company will contribute 2/3 of premium. Based on the plan link above, assist me with the following information:
1.) Is the premium ($50) what goes into my HSA account or do I need to add additional funds aka “contributions”.
2.)I want to have $135 added to my HSA account bi-weekly. My company contributes 2/3 of the premium of the HSA plan. Is that 2/3 of the $50 premium, 2/3 of additional funds add on top of the premium or 2/3 of the sum of the two.
If there’s anything else you need to know or suggest I do, please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
