I recently just started a new job and was offered health insurance. I don’t have insurance myself but have my daughter on a private insurance. My husband has insurance through his mom.
When I told his mom he would be added onto my insurance she got pretty mad and said she’s not taking my husband off hers because she wants to know he is covered. In other words “have control” over him. This is a 25 year old man who has a child, and is married. She has Cigna insurance if that helps with anything.
My question is, is it legal for him to be married and still be on his moms insurance? And can he remove himself from hers? Him and I are both pretty mad that we are about to pay on insurance for him and his mom still has him on hers.
