I am not sure whether I should get a PPO with no HSA or HDHP with HSA while I look to get treatment next years.

Hello,

I have some lower back issue that i wanted to go to PT or other specialists. I am 25 years old just fyi in California.

As I am looking to enroll a new plan for my employer, I have two choice

PPO plan with no HSA ($60 monthly) Noticeably low deductible ~$40 to see pcp or a specialist visit (No deductible applied). $50 for x-ray, blood work (but 20% on PET/CT or MRIs) HDHP plan with HSA (which i am currently enrolled; 2021) ($35 monthly) (coinsurance for doctor visit, imaging exams, etc)

Thanks to various communities, I understand the importance of having an HSA account but due to my chronic backpain, I do expect to see a specialist in order to get back in the shape.

I am leaning toward Plan 1 so I can focus the year on treatment but not sure if it will be worth it in a long run. Even if i get HDHP plan, I still plan to get the treatment as well.
