I’m 19 and extremely new to all this so please bare with me. When I was a kid it was court ordered that I had to be on my father’s health insurance plan until I turned 18. When I turned 18 I signed up for Nevada Medicaid.
The thing is I don’t know if I’m still on my father’s insurance (Aetna). I haven’t talked to him in years so I can’t really just ask him. Can I just call Aetna directly and ask them? I still have my card from when I was a minor. I’d assume my father kicked me off but I don’t know 100%.
Also I really need help with my mental health so is it possible if I search for a provider that just accepts Medicaid or would they have to accept both the Aetna and Medicaid plans? I would like to make as few phone calls as possible.
