I reset the timer in December 2021 when I was able to pay a copay of $25. January 2022, my insurance changed and I would have to pay full price for a meeting with my PCP before I am able to get the co-insurance coverage. I have determined the price can be $480 (low-moderate complexity office visit) or $680 (moderate complexity office visit); this is the price the doctor charged insurance. Insurance told me this would be the likely price if I have to pay out-of-pocket.
That amount is way too high for me. I was able to get a high dose that I can split so I am actually good with Adderall for the rest of the year. How can I avoid seeing my PCP again until the next insurance? Do I have to explain myself or can I just decline the action plan she set for me?
