Basically, I used to have health insurance through my mom’s work, then she went on Medicare, then I graduated from college and now I have health insurance through my job. In that brief approx 50 days or so between her going on Medicare and me starting a job, I had Cobra coverage, but now I’m still getting letters saying I owe money for Cobra even though I have my own insurance now. Is there a way to get out of paying the approx 1400 Cobra is asking for without waiting for hours on hold?
