I’ve gotten myself into a pickle. I lost my insurance when I finished a short term contract as a nurse in July. I didnt want to pay for COBRA and I was sure I would get a new job soon. After those 60 days and I didnt activate my cobra I got short term health insurance for 2 months thinking I would surely have a job by then.
Well I just got a job but benefits don’t kick in until FEBRUARY and the marketplace plan won’t go into effect until Jan. 1st. So what do I do in the meantime? There has to be more options.
I live in Illinois. I am a healthy 29 year old female. I just need insurance to cover accidents or critical illness.
