I missed Nov 15 enrollment for my girlfriend’s firm’s health insurance plan – any chance something could be done?

I’m currently on my gf’s law firm’s platinum health insurance plan (cigna open access) but due to turmoil between us, we didnt renew my policy for 2021, as we were going to separate for awhile and I was going to move back to Ohio. Low and behold, we’ve managed to make some amends and she’s not against me continuing but believes it’s too late and nothing can be done: their enrollment deadline was back in Nov (15th). Her office has left for the holidays but before I start calling anyone at their home, my question is – is it even possible for them to keep me on if they wanted to ? Is it up to the firm or other powers that be? Not sure if the extension applies to employer’s > employees > boyfriends.

I’d just get a personal policy however I was diagnosed w an unusual condition and, if I understand my broker correctly, to get coverage for my private practice/out-of-network doctor, I would need to be on a group plan (I may have gotten that bit wrong)

on that note, I had 90 claims this year for a total of $200,000…so they might not want anything to do w me 😕
