My kid is on Wisconsin state health insurance and they are terminating his in home mental health treatment. We just received notice on Friday that his services are ending on Monday.
He has severe anxiety and adhd. I would like to appeal this but I don’t know how to word this, and I need help. Things are a mess right now and I can’t even find a provider for myself without waiting 5 months.
I talked to him about taking a break from therapy without saying they were ending, and he said he didn’t want to because it’s helping him. These are his words not mine.
I’ll be talking to the clinic director to find out what exactly is happening and why, because she was out of the office on Friday and my only source of info was the insurance company itself. The therapist emailed me a copy of the denial that was dated January 5th, and the letter that the insurance company had that authorized it was dated January 4th. Im so confused but I need to figure this out, because my kid is clearly telling me he needs these services.
Can someone help me please? Either message me or post here?
