I’m 25 now, and will be 26 in April, Medicaid enrollment ends Jan 31st but will have overlapping insurance if I apply before enrollment ends. Surgery in January, will having two insurance plans screw with my benefits? Need help please

Hey guys, I need some serious help. I saw that open enrollment for any state assisted health insurance (nystateofhealth) or any form of medicaid is available now, but ends Janurary 31st (I’m an individual) I only make 34k a year normally but I believe that has been increased because of the extra pandemic money we received (Stimulus check doesn’t count toward income) I haven’t done the math yet but at one point with the extra $600 I was getting like $950 a week between regular unemployment and the PUA, which is about $400 more than I normally make a week for those few months we received it. I’m not sure how to even input this information into my application because yes I made a certain amount in the year, but will be making drastically less next year, especially since I work at a bowling alley which gets tied into gyms, usually on weekends for example we’d stay open till 3am, now we must close at 10pm regardless in NYC. I also currently have about 24 hours a week when normally I’d have 40 since everything has been cut drastically. I’m getting a mastoidectomy on January 21st and worried that having overlapping medical plans will end up costing me more money and more issues especially with any post-op treatment. Surgeon says I will have to go every 6 months to the ENT to get my ear cleaned for the rest of my life since I’m having a cholesteatoma removed and my ear canal widened and whatever else. I’m assuming by having a larger annual income I will be charged more for my insurance which I’m worried I won’t be able to afford. I live in an $1150/m 1br apartment and I pay utilities amongst other bills. However my biggest concern especially since I’m due for surgery relatively soon whether or not having two insurance plans is going to end up costing me money out of pocket between surgery itsself and any post-op because I obviously can’t apply after January 31st but will be under my Mother’s insurance until I’m 26 on April 24th which is GHI (she works for DOE). Please let me know if I have to wait to apply for insurance or if having overlapping insurance will not cause me any issues. Thanks for your time
