I’m 38 weeks pregnant and Aetna is charging me by the appt? Says no proof?

My husband got a new job and our new insurance began on August 1st. At the time the new insurance started I was 36 weeks pregnant. I called Aetna to make sure I didn’t need to do anything special to confirm my pregnancy. Now on August 10th I’ve received three claims for my prenatal care. First claim is for the doctor who saw me on August 3rd for my 36 week visit, Second claim is for my lab work which is a urine culture they do at every appt, and third is a DENIED claim for a breast pump which has a note saying NO PROOF OF PREGNANCY DENIED. I also got an ultrasound done this day and haven’t seen a claim come through yet.

I saw a doctor again today as I’ll be getting a c section August 18th and am so pregnant I have to be seen weekly now. Now I’m freaking out that I won’t be covered or that something crazy is going on.

I did get a call from the hospital I’m delivering at last Friday going over the total cost of the surgery and care after insurance so how can they not know that I’m pregnant?
