Individual Plan vs Family Plan Question

Hello!

Some info: My hubby and I are having a baby and currently on different plans since we just got married a couple months ago. I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to get on the same plan now or wait until open enrollment, which will be next April for it be effective June 1st. Our benefits run June to May. He hasn’t hit his deductible yet and I’m $1600 away to hitting my OOP. I feel like I should stay separate for now since I’m closer to the OOP and then we should combine as a family next year.

Our plan:

Single Deductible is $300 vs family $600

OOP Single is $2500 vs family is $5000.

Our baby is a June baby but it could be a May baby.

Employer pays for the premium so costs wise for that doesn’t matter.
